A Small Contribution to Second Chance ( Paws Mission) on the 9th of March 2014

It wasn't my will to be brought to this dreadful sphere,
Consumed by brutality and was I always hiding in fear,
Did anybody ever came to help or is there even anybody here?

Beaten, chased and kicked till the end,
Dogs are kept as pets through out the land,
Why am I unwanted I really don't understand.

Till the next morning I may not stand a chance,
If not for you "Second Chance",
Where before I was only a glance.

I am now feed, bathed and cleaned,
Strangers come and won't mind if I leaned,
If I'm good they will take me home to their inn.

From the entrance, this is what you will see "doggy playground". What seems like some shabby store is actually sanctuary to the many strays that were rescued.
The entrance to the shelter.

The dogs were so excited to receive us and were screaming out of excitement like in a rock concert.

With a compassionate heart towards all leaving beings, we at TDG Charitable Society decided to pay Second Chance (formerly known as Paws Mission) a visit while bringing along a small contribution of dog food and detergent. The shelter is located along Old Klang Road and houses close to 350 strays according to Miss Mun Yee one of the shelter's frequent volunteer. According to her, the shelter will be moving out soon as the current premise will be acquired for development. We will definitely return to this shelter in the future and we hope to contribute more if possible.

The Homeless

Extremely happy was I today to have 7 people in total helping out with the distribution rounds. Neglecting the heavy haze and hot weather, all 7 of us made our rounds from Old Town PJ to Bangkok Bank area to Petaling Street at hours where for most people will be in dreamland. Our usual clients from Old Town PJ which normally greets us coldly shown some warmth today. Was it that they were beginning to understand our doings or was it a result of the extremely hot weather that we are experiencing now?

From Old Town PJ we charged our way to KL hoping to distribute more since we prepared 50 packs of food this time if compared to the previous session of only 35 packets. Applauds to WY. Wong who prepared the food entirely alone. Although it was simple food of fried rice with sweet and sour hard boiled egg, we adhere closely to the principle of only serving food that we eat. I really hope to receive more support in terms of food contributions and volunteers in the future in order to reach out to more people.
